Hi Everyone,
Following my “Captain Eggplant” illustration shown in my previous post, I did a video explaining my process for drawing this vector illustration in Vectorstyler. There are some tips that you may find useful, some of them may apply to other vector software than VS.
Enjoy π
Captain Eggplant
Hi Everyone,
I’m back with a vector illustration featuring the (almost) famous Captain Eggplant ready for an epic fight with his archenemy the Baron Von Brokoli. π It was made in Vectorstyler after pencil sketches, as usual.
Hope you like it ! π
isometric drawing in vectorstyler (4)
This 4th tutorial shows the whole process of the isometric drawing of an ice cream truck in VectorStyler. It covers some basics of isometric drawing (snapping, extrusion…) as well as more advanced featured (symbols, automation, clones).
isometric drawing in vectorstyler (3)
This tutorial about isometric drawing in VectorStyler deals with the accuracy. I often choose to estimate rather than being accurate, and I use shortcuts and simplifications as long as everything looks plausible and consistent in the end. But some people may need real accuracy because of their working preferences or because it’s a request from a client. In that case we need to use some more precise settings, that’s what this tutorial shows. It also covers how to automate some drawing steps with the Actions of VectorStyler (sometimes called “scripts” in other software).
Isometric Drawing in VectorStyler (2)
Hereβs another tutorial of isometric drawing in VectorStyler that gives different rules and tips, including the use of symbols and how to cut a sphere. Some of these information can be applied to other vector software as well.
The pace is way too slow, once again and my “globish” shows some flaws π For the boring pace you can use Youtube’s features that allow to speed-up the player.
Enjoy π

MERMAY 2022
Hi Everyone,
If you have kids in your surroundings you probably understand what I’m referring to. π
So here’s a mashup between Mermay and this very very very (over) catchy song : “Baby Shark“.
Done in Affinity Photo after a pencil sketch, as usual.
Perspective in VectorStyler
Hi Everyone,
I just uploaded a tutorial about perspective in VectorStyler. I use a similar method as previously showed in Affinity Designer, but thanks to the specific features of VectorStyler I can improve and speed up some parts of the process.
Enjoy!
