Here’s a quick (I mean for me… 😛 ) vector illustration made for Halloween.
Same tools as usual : pencil sketch & Affinity Designer.
Happy Halloween everyone !

Food War
Hi Everyone,
I ‘m back with a new illustration done in Affinity Designer. It’s my good old UFO theme with slight modifications 😉
As usual, everything started with a pencil sketch.
Mexican Super Heroes WIP 2
Here’s the finished work, done entirely in Affinity Designer. You probably already recognized the famous Radioactive-Luchador and his teammate the Ghost Mariachi ! 🙂
…
Hmmm… wait.
No actually they’re new in town. Maybe later I will play again with these characters in a more “comic book” way.
Mexican Super Heroes WIP 1
I’m currently having fun working on a duet of Mexican super heroes. As usual, it’s a vector illustration made in Affinity Designer after a pencil sketch. The final drawing is almost done, I just need to make decision about the face of the second character. Stay tuned, it’s coming soon… 😉
Vintage comics
As a comic books fan since I was a kid, I wanted to pay tribute to the King of Comics, Jack Kirby. As I use Affinity Photo for the digital part of the drawing, I also seized the opportunity to test and play with the design kit “Splat!“, made by Frankentoon. This studio sell a lot of very interesting resources, mainly for Affinity products and Procreate. There’s a wide choice of brushes, assets, backgrounds, swatches… It provides user’s manuals, sample files and video tutorial for most of its kits. So if you’re a user of one of the software I mentioned above, you should have a look at their website : https://frankentoonstudio.com
Repair Truck WIP 2
Finally done, after struggling between the pleasure of adding details and the distraction it may cause to the storytelling.
Repair Truck WIP 1
It’s a new vector illustration I’m working on. I’m trying a different style, with less shiny and more realistic colors. Well, of course, some colors are currently shiny but it’s just to make them easily visible while I’m working. 😉
Speed painting
I recently made a bunch of Wacky Races sketches and I eventually managed some time to make a speed painting of Dick Dastardly. It was done in Affinity Photo and took me around 1.5 hr. As we can see, the poor guy lost a part of his ear during the process 😛
